Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems across a variety of equipment including UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, DAS/BDA, and video solutions. You will diagnose, repair, and program equipment while delivering exceptional customer service on-site.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in radio/communications service, strong RF theory knowledge, proficiency with test equipment, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless and/or communication field.

Responsibilities

• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, dispatch consoles, BDA/DAS, microwave, CCTV).
• Recommend appropriate equipment and hardware meeting customer requirements.
• Regional and/or overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
• Contribute to diagnosing and resolving complex RF/electronics issues on site.
