Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Technical Training Instructor based in Broken Arrow, OK, to develop and deliver technical training for Field Service Engineers, internal teams, and external clients. You will leverage deep field credibility and broad control-system knowledge to teach complex topics in practical, hands-on ways.

You will build materials on ATS, switchgear, PLC/SCADA, and safety, coordinate hands-on and virtual sessions, and align training with field and business needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Field Service Engineering experience or equivalent technical field experience.
• Proven record of developing, delivering, or supporting technical training for field personnel, customers, or internal technical teams.
• Strong understanding of power generation systems, ATS, low-/medium-voltage switchgear, PLC, SCADA, and related field-service apps.
• Experience with complex paralleling systems: synchronization, load sharing, generator controls, transfer schemes, protections.
• Strong understanding of diesel generator controls, governors, voltage regulation, excitation, relays, and logic.
• Experience troubleshooting voltage regulators, governor control, synchronization, load-share, comms, breaker control, and transfer issues.
• Experience reading schematics, control drawings, one-lines, OP diagrams, PLC logic, SCADA screens, I/O mapping, alarm logic.
• Experience with Wonderware, WinCC, PME, and similar industrial automation platforms.
• Strong background in electrical theory, power distribution, AC/DC circuits, voltage theory, practical problem solving.
• Willingness to relocate to Broken Arrow, OK, or spend 50%+ time there; US work authorization; 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop training materials for Russelectric ATS, switchgear, PLC, SCADA, equipment mods, safety, onboarding, and ongoing training.
• Coordinate, document, and provide regular technical training for field service staff, including hands-on and virtual learning.
• Use field support trends and feedback to identify training needs and improve content.
• Create engaging online training and practical exercises for Field Service, Sales, and external customers.
• Collaborate with leadership, Field Service, FAST, Automation, Engineering, and Sales to align training with business needs.
• Maintain training center equipment and ensure training assets reflect current field equipment.
• Provide technical instruction related to power generation, ATS, switchgear, PLC, SCADA, and customer field applications.
