Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical leader in advanced vehicle diagnostics and field support. The role emphasizes mentoring, continuous improvement, and complex problem solving across service centers, customer sites, and production plants.

The position requires extensive automotive repair experience, HV knowledge, and strong collaboration with field service teams. Occasional travel and flexible hours are expected to support Rivian’s evolving service needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 or older; valid driver's license with clean record.
• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience, bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3–8+ years high voltage HV experience and HV diagnostics.
• Experience in leadership or supervisory roles preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on vehicles in service centers and in field settings.
• Provide high-level technical support and remote diagnostics for field teams.
• Lead, mentor, and coach junior technicians; drive cross-functional problem solving.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, and inventory; ensure efficiency.
• Document technical feedback and root-cause analysis for engineering and field teams.
