Job summary

Transwest Mobile is seeking a Senior Field Service Mechanic to lead complex mobile repairs in the Converse/San Antonio, TX market. You will minimize downtime for contractors, municipalities, and fleet operators across Texas, setting the technical standard in diesel, hydraulic, and electrical system diagnostics.

You will coach emerging technicians while performing engine overhauls, hydraulic repairs, and CAN bus/ECM diagnostics, with crane operation and tight safety adherence as core practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5–10+ years in heavy equipment, diesel, or hydraulic repair.
• Expert knowledge across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical domains.
• Proficiency with CAN bus/ECM diagnostics and complex repair strategies.

Responsibilities

• Advanced troubleshooting and repair of heavy‑duty engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems (CAN bus, ECM).
• Engine overhauls and rebuilds with precision.
• Use of advanced diagnostic software, tools, and OEM service information.
• Crane operation and use of specialized equipment for complex maintenance tasks.
• Customer communication: diagnostics reporting and service recommendations.
• Accurate documentation of all work performed.
