Job summary

FirstKey Homes LLC is seeking a Service Technician Lead to plan, lead, and coordinate installation, repair, and maintenance of FKH assets within the designated MSA. The role supervises technicians, ensures timely work orders, and maintains high resident satisfaction through effective problem resolution and strong vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate brings 7–10 years of residential/commercial service experience, EPA certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of strong residential/commercial service experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and valid insurance.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification on file.
• Knowledge of codes, inspection, estimating and planning.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager with administration, inventory control, and records.
• Serve as the point of contact when the Service Manager is out.
• Assist in observations, reviews, and disciplinary actions; support hiring and performance reviews.
• Work independently or with the team to perform repairs, replacements, and inspections.
• Communicate with vendors/contractors and maintain relationships.
• Conduct site visits with residents to review concerns and outline resolutions.
• Review daily work orders, gather information, ensure supplies, manage schedules.
• Ensure technicians complete orders to hit budgeted utilization; supervise team goals.
• Coach, train, and hold technicians accountable for overall team success.
• Coordinate with Service Coordination Team on open work orders and SLA timelines.
• Onboard new technicians and train existing staff to improve skills and productivity.
