Job summary

Lam Research is hiring a Field Service Engineer in Manassas, VA. You will provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of Lam’s semiconductor equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate across teams to ensure operational excellence for customers.

The role requires a strong background in electronics/engineering, experience with capital equipment, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Willingness to work in cleanroom environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, service, and installation/relocation start-up services of Lam’s electro-mechanical systems at customer sites.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and issue isolation to minimize downtime and prevent equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
• Coordinate activities between Lam and customers; assist in field modifications and updates.
• Act as a subject matter expert and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
