Job summary

Brooks Automation US LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support installation, maintenance, and repair of Brooks equipment in the Austin, TX area. You will work with customers to ensure equipment reliability and participate in on-site and remote support as needed.

The role requires hands-on electro-mechanical experience, travel readiness, and the ability to coordinate with a team. A technical degree or certificate and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, technical Certificate or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of electro-mechanical/electronics technical support or repair experience.
• Experience with lasers and sensing devices for positioning circuitry on robotic units.
• Experience troubleshooting microelectronics schematics and digital circuits.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair and perform preventive maintenance on Brooks equipment and systems.
• Isolate and resolve complex malfunctions and implement corrective action.
• Coordinate work direction for other Service Engineers as needed.
• Produce reports and documentation for service activities.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required and be available for on-call work.
