Job summary

Brooks Automation is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Austin, TX area to perform installation, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on Brooks equipment and systems. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or technical certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of electro-mechanical/electronics technical support experience.
• Experience with lasers and sensing devices for positioning circuitry on robotic units.
• Experience troubleshooting microelectronics schematics and digital circuits.
• Proficiency with PCs, Windows, and DOS-based operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair and perform preventive maintenance on Brooks equipment and systems.
• Lead or coordinate work directions for Service Engineers and install support.
• Interface with customers to ensure satisfaction and present at customer meetings.
