Job summary
Brooks Automation, a leader in automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, seeks a Field Service Engineer in the Austin, TX area. You will install, repair and maintain Brooks equipment, diagnose complex issues, and coordinate field activities. The role requires lifting, travel, and on-call availability. A technical associate degree and 3+ years of electro-mechanical experience are expected; a clean driving record is required.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of electro-mechanical/electronics technical support or repair experience.
Military technical experience/training a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Responsibilities
Install, modify, repair and perform preventive maintenance on Brooks equipment and systems.
Isolate and resolve complex malfunctions and implement corrective action.
Coordinate work direction as Local/Shift/Site Lead when required.
Travel domestically and internationally as needed; support on-call work.
