Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Field Service Engineer III to diagnose, repair, and maintain robotic automation systems and related equipment at client sites. You will troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues, travel up to 80% domestically and internationally, and work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will install hardware, support training, and help develop guides for recurring issues.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of relevant field service experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Schematic interpretation, robotics, electrical and blueprints reading.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.
• Experience with HMI, PLC, robots and AutoCAD preferred.
• High degree of autonomy; mentors junior staff; makes independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robotic automation systems, control devices, mechanical units, transfer equipment, and peripherals.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 80% to service customers.
• Provide on-site hardware installations, maintenance, and testing at client facilities.
• Deliver in-person training and develop support guides for recurring issues.
• Document customer issues and follow up with stakeholders; ensure timely resolution.
