Job summary

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial combustion systems across the United States. You will act as a technical authority, coordinate with engineering and service teams, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires 5+ years in field service, a mechanical/electrical background, and the ability to travel up to 80% (domestic focus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of field service experience in industrial combustion or heating systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 86 and industrial combustion safety codes.
• OSHA 10-Hour and NFPA 70E safety training (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time (primarily US) and write English reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of combustion systems across the US and occasionally internationally.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis of mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Review and adjust PID loop programming in control systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools (multimeters, transmitters, analyzers) to analyze data.
• Serve as primary technical liaison for customers including operators, engineers, and maintenance teams.
• Provide recommendations to improve performance, reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with sales, engineering, and service teams.
• Prepare detailed service reports, timesheets, and documentation after field assignments.
