Job summary

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the United States. You will commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial combustion and heating systems, with substantial travel and direct customer interaction in industrial environments.

Qualifications include an ABET‑accredited Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred) and English fluency. Proximity to Pittsburgh is beneficial for onboarding, with travel up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or applied sciences from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or equivalent) preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% (mostly US).
• Fluency in English and ability to write reports.

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize industrial combustion systems across the United States (and some international work).
• Investigate system-wide issues and perform root cause analysis on failed equipment.
• Review and support PID loop programming in single- and multi-loop control systems.
• Use electronic test equipment to interpret system performance.
• Interface with plant operators, engineers, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare detailed service reports and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and customer site requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams on projects.
