Job summary

SMA America is seeking a Field Service Engineer, Medium Voltage III for the Western region. This field-based role covers multiple states, requiring leadership on site, advanced testing, and proactive safety oversight to ensure high-quality project execution.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with SMA engineers and customers, and travel as needed to deliver reliable MV/HV solutions across utility and industrial sites.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of field service experience.
• Crew leadership and project coordination in the field.
• Ability to work nonstandard hours, including weekends.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site safety briefings and manage hazards.
• Lead testing and maintenance of MV/HV equipment and switchgear.
• Coordinate field activities to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Prepare detailed field reports and closure packages.
• Mentor Level I/II engineers and coordinate with SMA teams.
