Job summary

United Machining in Columbus, OH, seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and maintain complex machinery and related equipment. You will troubleshoot, train customers and internal staff, and document all activities per procedure.

A strong background in mechanical and electrical systems with EDM/milling experience is required. You will collaborate with Diagnostics and Advanced Technical Support to resolve issues and improve service processes while ensuring customer satisfaction and

Qualifications

Associate degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering required; 6+ years in manufacturing or machine tool environment preferred.
Experience with test equipment and EDM/milling machines is expected.

Responsibilities

Install and service machines and related equipment.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance with minimal assistance per technical docs.
Identify problems and drive corrective actions during early product life cycle.
Analyze and resolve application problems; liaise with applications for complex issues.
Provide training on safe operation and maintenance of machines and equipment.
Complete reports timely per service procedures.
Maintain contact with Diagnostics Team and Advanced Technical Support.
Assist with development of service procedures to improve efficiency of field engineers.
