Overview
A leading EDM machine manufacturer is looking for a CNC Field Service Engineer.
Responsibilities
Install, service and provide basic training on all our machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot both electronic and mechanical problems on site using proper testing equipment such as multimeter or oscilloscope.
Transport by car or airplane to customer and dealer facilities.
Conduct on‑site intake of customer complaints regarding equipment malfunction and service issues.
Communicate technical analysis and determinations with customers and internal management.
Document all work performed in a legible and technically sound manner.
Submit service and expense reports for reimbursement.
Qualifications
Strong background in Electrical Engineering or industrial electronic repair experience.
Possibility for new graduates (training provided).
Experience repairing Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) is a plus.
Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems, materials, tooling, and end mills, if possible.
Excellent customer service skills, with integrity and ethics in all interactions.
Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and able to handle stressful situations calmly.
Technical curiosity and ability to diagnose and solve production issues; detail-oriented for completion in a manufacturing environment.
Travel Per Diem
Daily allowance for travel: $46 if travel is more than 100 miles one way. Gas allowance.
