Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Field Service Specialist III in the Kansas City, MO area to support newborn screening programs and Waters LC/LC-MS systems at clinical labs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years work experience in mass spectrometry, preferably as service engineer or in a clinical lab.
• LC experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong technical support, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting with LC/MS systems.
• Experience using LC or MS instrumentation (preferably Waters) in clinical/IVD settings is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing is mandatory.
• Ability to perform effective system-level troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel including international travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and support Waters product suite (LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, Informatics).
• Provide on-site support for newborn screening customers and other clinical labs.
• Deliver system-level training at customer sites.
• Manage service inventory per Waters policies and document work with field service reports.
• Collaborate with Sales to identify future service contract opportunities and customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and Health & Safety standards.
