Job summary

Facility Solutions Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Technician to guide on-site installation of commercial security systems including IP cameras, access control, and related hardware.

You will supervise crews, coordinate with foremen, and ensure quality, safety, and timely project completion. You should have 4+ years of installation experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Genetec, Hanwha, Axis, Avigilon, and LifeSafety Power equipment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial electronic security installation experience.
• Experience leading technicians / a crew preferred.
• Strong ability to train and direct technicians.
• Knowledge of security cameras, card readers, access control panels, and wiring.
• Reading blueprints and construction documents.
• Experience with Genetec, Hanwha, Axis, Avigilon, and LSP equipment preferred.
• Willingness to work day shifts, nights, weekends or overtime.
• Reliable transportation to project locations.
• Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct small crews of security technicians on active commercial construction sites.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, manpower, priorities, and workflow with Foreman.
• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot IP cameras and video surveillance systems.
• Install and troubleshoot access control panels, readers, and related devices.
• Route and terminate cabling; maintain low-voltage infrastructure and labeling.
• Read blueprints, device layouts, and riser diagrams to ensure compliance with specs.
• Mentor junior technicians and coordinate field activities with Foreman and Project Manager.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce policies on site.
