Job summary

Willdan Energy Solutions is seeking a Senior Field/Sales Engineer to lead energy assessments and ROM cost estimates, tackling electrification and decarbonization projects for regional clients. You will guide field inspections, communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders, and support sales cycles with technical leadership.

The role requires travel to client sites, collaboration with program engineers, and development of tools to streamline incentive eligibility and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years in energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, or facilities energy management.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating stakeholders across public/private sectors.
• Experience performing investment-grade energy assessments and data collection focusing on building systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate energy assessments, ROM cost estimates, and energy savings analyses.
• Oversee field inspections and collaborate with program engineers on incentive eligibility and documentation.
• Develop and implement software solutions supporting energy projects and client reporting.
• Support business development and manage long-term customer relationships.
