Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Maine is seeking a Resident Engineer for our Construction Engineering & Inspection team. You will lead field inspections on bridge and highway projects, document daily activities, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and MaineDOT.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year engineering degree, 6+ years of construction inspection experience, OSHA 10 certification, and a valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspectors or act as solo inspector for construction inspection of bridge/highway projects, including measuring quantities and documenting work.
• Oversee and coordinate documentation of construction inspection, pay estimates, change orders, daily reports, etc.
• Ensure work is completed per specifications and project plans.
• Apply project plans, company policies, guidelines, and standards to field work.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate with all project levels.
• Coordinate site activities and resolve on-site problems.
• Lead other inspectors, providing coaching and direction.
