Job summary

ASM International in Boise, Idaho seeks a Manager II, Field Process to lead customer engagements and drive NPI & HVM programs. You will build trusted technical relationships, guide a field process team, and ensure timely resolution of technical escalations.

You will partner with R&D, Product Engineering, and Sales to advance technology programs, recruit and mentor engineers, and travel as needed to support customer sites, with Boise as the primary focus.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, EE, Chemical Eng., Mechanical Eng. or related discipline.
• 12+ years with a Bachelor's, 9+ with a Master’s, or 6+ with a PhD in the semiconductor industry, with strong thin-film expertise.
• Proven ability to manage NPI and transfer complex deposition processes to high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong customer relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Lead a field process team for process development, qualification, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Own and drive critical customer escalations through timely resolution.
• Lead NPI programs through qualification and HVM adoption; ensure on-time milestones.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Engineering, and Sales to execute technology programs.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop process engineers; promote safety and continuous improvement.
• Travel as needed; primary focus onsite in Boise, Idaho.
