Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. is seeking a field service technician to troubleshoot, repair, recondition and maintain generators, switchgear, ATS, electrical systems, engines and components in client sites, including hyperscale data centers.

Travel to remote locations is expected; extended overnight stays may be required. Communicate effectively with associates, clients and management regarding equipment conditions, problems and recommendations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current driver’s license is required.
• DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates are required.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
• Work overtime as required.
