Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Party Chief - Surveying in the Lawrenceville, NJ office to lead field survey efforts and mentor junior staff. The role involves coordinating with office staff and clients on diverse projects across the Northeast, often outdoors and traveling to project sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in land surveying/geospatial services, advanced equipment knowledge, and a desire to continue learning while maintaining safety and professional conduct on-site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; higher education in land surveying or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of land surveying/geospatial experience or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of survey equipment, practices and procedures.
• Willingness to mentor Jr Party Chiefs and Instrument Operators while continuing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey field work in a leading role, Mentor Jr Party Chiefs and Instrument Operators.
• Interface with office staff and management on a daily basis.
• Work on a variety of survey projects across commercial, transportation, environmental, and energy sectors.
• Travel to project sites in the Northeast region, potential sites outside this area.
• Prepare notes and sketches clearly and legibly; download data and provide reports.
