Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Lawrenceville, NJ is seeking an experienced Party Chief - Surveying to join the Land Surveying and Geospatial Team.

This full-time role focuses on leading field surveys, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with office personnel for a range of Northeast projects. You'll work outdoors, handle diverse surveying tasks, and communicate clearly with clients and the public while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; higher education in surveying preferred.
• 5+ years in land surveying or geospatial services.
• Advanced knowledge of survey equipment, practices, and procedures.
• Willingness to mentor Jr Party Chiefs and Instrument Operators.
• Valid state driver’s license; pass motor vehicle & background screening.
• Interpersonal and communication skills; detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; flexible schedules.
• Physical ability to walk long distances and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead field survey work in a senior role, mentoring juniors as needed.
• Interact with office staff and management daily.
• Work on a variety of projects across commercial, transportation, and more.
• Occasionally travel to project sites outside the Northeast; outdoor-focused work.
• Utilize survey instruments and prepare clear notes and sketches.
• Ensure field data is downloaded and reports are produced when required.
• Represent WSP professionally when interacting with clients and the public.
• Undertake additional duties as business needs arise.
• Adhere to WSP Code of Conduct and safety policies.
