Job summary

WSP is seeking a Survey Technician to join the Survey Geomatics team in Lawrenceville, NJ. The role focuses on producing survey plans, setting up field files, and supporting multiple project types from the Lawrenceville office.

You will work with field staff and clients, ensuring accurate data processing and professional representation of WSP. The position requires a High School diploma or GED (higher education in surveying preferred), 5+ years of surveying experience or 3+ years with a related

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; higher education in land surveying preferred.
• 5+ years of field surveying and geospatial experience, or 3+ years with a land surveying degree.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, Leica Infinity.
• Experience in boundary research, title reports, records compilation, and initial boundary determinations.
• Experience in processing survey data and control, preparing legal descriptions.
• Willingness to learn; ability to work independently or in a team; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce survey plans and deliverables for various projects.
• Prepare setup files for field crews and compile records.
• Research and process survey data; perform initial boundary determinations and adjustments.
• Review survey control and data; draft using CAD and survey software daily.
• Interacting with clients via email, phone, or meetings while representing WSP professionally.
• Support field staff and other teams as needed; adhere to company policies and safety rules.
