Job summary

WSP is seeking an Experienced Survey Technician to join the Survey Geomatics team in Lawrenceville, NJ. You will produce survey plans, set up field files, and process data while coordinating with field crews and client teams.

The role requires 7+ years in surveying (or 5+ with a related degree), proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, and Bentley OpenRoads, and a valid driver's license. WSP emphasizes safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; higher education in land surveying is ideal.
• 7+ years in land surveying and geospatial services, or 5+ years with a related degree.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, Leica Infinity.
• Experience in boundary research, title review, records compilation, and boundary determinations.
• Experience in reviewing survey data and processing control.
• Experience in preparing legal descriptions.
• Willingness to learn.
• Valid state driver’s license and MV screening clearance.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce survey plans and deliverables; prepare setup files for field crews.
• Process and review survey data; adjust survey control for review.
• Work with Lawrenceville, NJ office survey teams on diverse projects.
• Interact with clients by email, phone, or meetings; represent WSP professionally.
• Utilize drafting and data processing programs daily.
• Support field staff and provide guidance as needed.
• Respect safety policies and project-specific requirements.
