About the Role

Our client, a dynamic force in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Operations Manager to lead their operations in the Welkom, Free State region. This role is crucial for overseeing the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of hydrocarbons. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, optimizing production output, ensuring asset integrity, and leading a team of production engineers and field staff. This hybrid role allows for a blend of on-site operational oversight in Welkom and strategic planning/reporting from a remote or office setting. You will play a key part in maximizing recovery rates, managing operational budgets, and upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. • Demonstrated experience in managing production facilities and field operations.
• Strong understanding of production optimization techniques, artificial lift systems, and flow assurance.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience with production monitoring and data analysis software.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing on-site and off-site responsibilities.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Welkom, Free State area.
