Job summary

New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, seeks a Senior Analyst Field Operations to oversee multi-year budgets and rolling forecasts for labor and allocations, including scenario and variance analysis. The role emphasizes building robust financial reports and partnering with Field Operations leadership.

The position supports project work from business case through development to implementation while pursuing cost reductions, process improvements and technology-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive financial/operational analysis experience.
• Experience in utility, energy, or regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of actuals and projections: monthly budget analysis highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Prepare Senior Management and Board level reports and presentations.
• Monitor and coordinate development and implementation of projects supporting Field Operations.
• Serve as SME for financial meetings and project reviews.
• Generate ideas for cost reductions, process improvements and technology solutions.
• Prioritize projects based on value, resource availability and duration.
• Provide regular updates to management and project sponsors.
• Assist in establishing gas maintenance policies compliant with codes and regulations.
• Support annual budget preparation for Field Operations.
• Develop presentations from concept to completion with SME input.
