Job summary

Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking a skilled Operations Maintenance Worker IV to support cleaning and upkeep of district facilities, reservoirs, pipelines, and floodways. The role requires operating multiple types of equipment and performing maintenance tasks in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include vegetation care, welding or repairs as needed, and potential supervision of day laborers. A valid Texas driver’s license is required; CDL endorsements are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B with endorsements may be required.
• Tanker (N), Hazmat (H) endorsements encouraged.
• Doubles/Triples (T) endorsement encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform vegetation maintenance, painting, and cleaning on pipelines, reservoirs/lakes, floodway, ROW or facilities.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, uni-loader, or an agtractor.
• Use weed eaters, zero turn mowers, and standard mowers.
• Build or paint fences and operate chainsaws.
• Pull and back utility trailers to job sites; pick up trash along ROW/floodway.
• May perform light welding, grinding, or basic equipment upkeep/repair.
• May supervise day laborers; may work in confined spaces or on water bodies.
• May work extra hours including weekends/evenings as needed.
• Attend job-related training (ag tractor, confined space, water safety, etc.).
• Maintain familiarity with district service levels; participate in continuous improvement.
