Job summary

Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician II to maintain and repair TRWD buildings, structures, and grounds in a hands-on, safety-conscious role. You will coordinate tasks with senior staff, manage work orders, and ensure preventive maintenance programs run smoothly.

The position requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid Texas driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school accreditations totaling two years preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent beneficial to the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks on TRWD buildings and grounds.
• Lead projects from start to finish with senior staff.
• Enter data for work orders and timekeeping.
• Coordinate routine preventative maintenance.
• Transport materials and equipment for maintenance projects.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
• Interact with other TRWD personnel.
• Participate in after-hours emergency response and on-call rotation.
• Report maintenance or structural issues to supervisor.
• Participate in applicable condition assessments and district readiness.
