Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee large, complex projects on-site, ensuring safety, quality, scheduling and financial performance. You will manage staffing, materials, and customer relations while driving profitability and on-time delivery.

The role requires substantial supervisory experience in telecommunications, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with MS Office. Willingness to travel within the branch/region is needed.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Three or more years as Lead Communications Technician or similar.
• Five+ years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with computer and MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must meet Company driving standards and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage and evaluate project staff per policy.
• Liaise with customer representatives for operational interface.
• Plan and monitor project profitability to meet goals.
• Ensure deadlines align with customer requirements and budgets.
• Oversee workload distribution, staffing levels and progress.
• Review job costs, invoicing and financial reporting for accuracy.
• Complete on-time project paperwork and closing packages.
• Lead site safety checks and quality assurance walks.
