Job summary

RK Industries is seeking an Area Superintendent to lead field operations from our Denver base, overseeing multiple projects across the region. The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, budgeting, and safety compliance to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will coordinate with Operations, Project Management, General Contractors, and field teams, shaping workforce plans, managing a book of business, and driving continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant construction or field operations experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of field operations and project execution.
• Proven experience leading multiple projects and teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field and shop operations across multiple projects.
• Provide technical direction and practical guidance related to project scope and construction execution.
• Partner with Safety Managers to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Drive projects toward timely, quality completion while maintaining budget and productivity goals.
• Collaborate with General Contractors to provide trade-specific information and support project scheduling.
• Maintain open communication with Operations and Project Management regarding budgets, productivity, change orders, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead daily and weekly scope-of-work activities and ensure field teams align with project priorities.
• Monitor subcontractor and major equipment supplier performance, progress, and quality.
• Manage a book of business with Operations Managers across multiple projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with Operations teams and General Contractors.
• Ensure permits, licenses, and inspections are completed and maintained.
• Partner with Labor Resources on day-to-day workforce coordination.
• Maintain accurate field workforce tracking and employee data.
