Job summary

Austin Commercial, part of Austin Industries, seeks a Senior Field Office Manager for the North Texas Division in Fort Worth. This role leads field office accounting, payroll, payables, and reporting, coordinating with project managers to maintain cost controls and timely subcontract payments.

The incumbent will manage job-cost reporting, ensure proper documentation for invoices, and support closeout activities while supervising field staff in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of progressive field office management experience.
• 3-5 years accounting experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Proficiency in project review and forecasting.
• Experience as a lead project accountant on projects valued at $50 million or more.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits monthly pay requests in accordance with contract terms.
• Oversees all field payroll functions for hourly and salaried employees.
• Receives and processes invoices and pay requests from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitors the invoice system to ensure timely payments and proper documentation.
• Maintains project job-cost reports supporting pay requests to the owner.
• Works with the project manager to ensure bonding and insurance documents are on file.
• Incorporates change order revisions into the schedule of values.
• Assists in preparation of the monthly job status report.
• Codes project cost items and ensures timely recording and payment.
