Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, part of Austin Industries, seeks a Field Office Manager/Project Accountant for heavy civil projects in North Texas. The role will oversee site accounting, payroll, invoicing, and project cost tracking, reporting to CP Coppell, TX or project sites.

Requirements include 3+ years in construction accounting, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to work across multiple sites while maintaining accuracy and deadlines. Travel to North Texas sites is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required
• Be an effective communicator with strong customer service skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail under stress
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines
• 3+ years in payroll, invoicing, and project cost tracking in construction preferred
• High school diploma or GED or higher; Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee field payroll functions for hourly and salaried employees; ensure proper documentation of hours
• Manage accounts payable workflow; ensure back-up documentation is in file before payment
• Monitor invoice system to ensure timely payment of subcontractors and suppliers
• Coordinate cost tracking and reporting for projects and assist management with reports
