Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, a unit of Austin Industries, seeks a Field Office Manager/Project Accountant for North Texas heavy civil projects. You will oversee site accounting, administrative tasks, and support project staff and corporate accounting.

This on-site role reports to Coppell, Texas or to a project site. Key duties include managing accounts payable workflow, ensuring proper backup documentation, supervising field payroll, reviewing cost adjustments, and preparing reports for management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years accounting experience with 2 years in construction preferred.
• Associate’s degree encouraged.
• Experience with AP, payroll, subcontractor coordination and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of AP workflow and resolves vendor issues.
• Ensure backup docs are on file before approving invoices.
• Monitor invoice system for timely payments to subs and suppliers.
• Oversee field payroll for hourly and salaried staff with proper coding.
• Review cost adjustments for accuracy per standards.
