Job summary

GDIT seeks a senior network professional for the US BICES-X program based in Colorado Springs. You will identify and resolve complex network incidents, maintain security postures, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure mission-critical communications across voice, video, and data networks.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, CCNA certification, and strong routing/switching expertise. Expect shift work, collaboration with vendors, and a fast-paced environment supporting DoW intelligence

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience.
• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
• BA/BS degree – may be substituted for additional years of experience.
• Must possess a currently active CCNA certification.
• Must meet DOW 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP).
• Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while maintaining quality.
• Experience working with hardware vendors involved in incident resolution.
• Experience with STIG patching, compliance, and security activities.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network incidents and problems.
• Utilizes IT Service Management (ITSM) principles to categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
• Provides network/equipment training and technical guidance to end-users and junior staff.
• Determines network specifications and input/output processes for hardware/software compatibility.
• Participates in special projects as assigned.
• Analyses, administers, and maintains voice, video, and data networks.
• Manages usage and performance to meet Service Availability and SLA requirements.
• Maintains network security and compliance with security policies.
• Develops and implements network-related procedures and standards.
• Interfaces with vendors to resolve outages or reduced performance.
• Assists with development of third-party monitoring actions for network infrastructure.
