Job summary

I2X Technologies, headquartered in Colorado, seeks a Network Engineer to support a DoD customer in Colorado Springs. The role requires an active Secret clearance and on-site work.

You will design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls and Linux systems, with emphasis on security hardening and documentation. Responsibilities include patch management, network testing, and working with vendors to ensure reliable connectivity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required for the role.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of professional experience in network engineering.
• Security+ certification or equivalent; DoD/DISA STIG experience preferred.
• Hands-on in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Experience with firewall technologies from Palo Alto, Cisco, and Juniper.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting RHEL/Linux systems and patching.

Responsibilities

• Designs and plans network communications systems for DoD programs.
• Provides detailed schematics for network architecture and hardware/software selection.
• Conducts testing of network designs and validates configurations.
• Maintains expertise in network interconnection hardware and security controls.
• Implements, patches, and tests quarterly updates in lab and production environments.
• Develops and maintains network documentation, including STIG checklists and runbooks.
• Supports cyber vulnerability testing, firewall licensing, and anomaly troubleshooting.
• Provides training for network installation and troubleshooting tasks.
