Job summary

Findlay Automotive Group is seeking a Senior Field Technician to provide advanced on-site IT support and lead network operations across dealership locations. You will manage switching, wireless, WAN connectivity, and security configurations while coordinating with vendors and IT leadership.

The role requires strong communication, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities as technologies evolve in a multi-location environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Network Operations and Administration: maintain, configure, and troubleshoot infrastructure across locations.
• Switching and Wireless: manage switches and wireless APs, VLANs and SSIDs.
• WAN and Internet Connectivity: handle SD-WAN, DIA, VPN, and carrier circuits.
• Network Performance: diagnose latency, packet loss, and routing issues.
• Network Monitoring: monitor availability and performance, implement fixes.
• Documentation: maintain diagrams, IP ranges, VLANs, and inventories.
• Security: coordinate with Security team on policies and access controls.
• Infrastructure Deployment: lead installs, upgrades, and projects.
• Vendor Escalation: work with ISPs and contractors to resolve issues.
• Advanced Field Support: provide Tier 2/3 on-site support.
• Help Desk Escalation: escalate unresolved issues.
• Tech Projects: support cameras, telephony, and other projects.
