Job summary

Compass Pathways is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior MSL to join the Medical Affairs team. You will develop and maintain scientific relationships, support medical strategy, and engage with leaders in TRD and PTSD across a geographic territory.

Field-based in Detroit, MI or Cleveland, OH, you will travel up to 75%, deliver high quality scientific exchanges, mentor junior MSLs, and collaborate with Clinical Development and Market Access while upholding ethics and compliance.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific training with credentials (e.g., PhD, PharmD, PMHNP, MD).
• Previous MSL experience is strongly preferred.
• Background in neuroscience, psychiatry or psychology preferred.
• Travel up to 75%, including overnight stays and weekends.
• Resident in the geographic area.
• Engaging communicator of scientific information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientifically grounded relationships with healthcare professionals and thought leaders.
• Lead in-depth scientific conversations on disease understanding and emerging evidence in TRD and PTSD.
• Respond to unsolicited requests with accurate medical information.
• Collect and communicate medical insights to inform strategy and education planning.
• Maintain scientific expertise and contribute to medical education activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Government Affairs, and Market Access.
• Provide training to sales and marketing teams.
• Senior MSLs: mentor junior MSLs and assist onboarding.
