Job summary

Olsson is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician to join our team in the Kansas City area. You will independently collect samples from various sites, perform tests and inspections, and report results to project managers to ensure quality and safety on construction projects.

Travel to multiple job sites around the Kansas City metro, work in diverse terrains, and use our company truck and PPE.

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years of experience in construction observation or inspection.
• Certifications listed (ICC, ACI Grade I, Nuclear Gauge) required OR a bachelor’s degree in engineering with EIT.
• ODOT certifications preferred/required depending on project.

Responsibilities

• Independently collect construction materials samples from various sites.
• Perform tests and inspections to assess material properties and integrity.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers and stakeholders.
• Travel to multiple job sites around the Kansas City metro; work in varying terrain and weather.
