Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician to join our team. You will independently collect samples from construction sites and perform tests to evaluate materials, following established procedures and standards.

You will communicate results to project managers, helping ensure project quality and safety, with frequent travel to sites beyond our offices. The position requires 6+ years in CMT, relevant certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction materials testing, inspection, or observation.
• Associates degree from a technical or four-year school preferred but not required.
• ICC, ACI Field Grade I, Nuclear Gauge certifications desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving history.

Responsibilities

• Independently collect construction materials samples from sites.
• Perform tests and inspections to assess material properties and integrity.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers and stakeholders.
• Travel to project sites beyond office locations, often for several months.
