Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician to join our team. You will collect samples from construction sites, perform tests, document results, and communicate findings to project managers, ensuring quality and safety across projects.

Frequent travel to sites is expected, with onboarding at the nearest Olsson office. Travel may last several months at a time; per diem may cover travel expenses.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in construction materials testing, inspection, or observation.
• Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred, but not required.
• ICC, ACI Field Grade I, Nuclear Gauge certifications.

Responsibilities

• Independently collect construction materials samples from sites and perform tests.
• Document findings and communicate results to project managers and stakeholders.
• Travel to project sites beyond office locations, sometimes for several months.
