Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Materials Testing Senior Engineering Technician to perform field testing of construction related materials including soils, concrete, grout/masonry, and asphalt.

The role involves working in diverse weather conditions, documenting tests, and using ESP’s data collection software. With 3+ years of testing experience and certifications such as ACI Field Grade I and Nuclear Density Gauge safety, you will review drawings, communicate with project staff, and

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or Associate degree.
• Three or more years of experience in construction testing of soils, concrete, masonry and/or asphalt materials preferred.
• ACI Field Grade I Certification preferred.
• Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
• NICET, DOT, and other applicable Certifications will be considered beneficial.
• Candidate must pass a drug screen, background check, and have satisfactory driving record per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced field tests in accordance with ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, DOT or other standards.
• Observe and document construction activities.
• Review and understand project drawings and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with ESP project staff and field team.
• Report observations and test results through ESP’s field data collection software.
