Job summary

Terracon in Lincoln, NE is seeking an experienced laboratory and field technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and steel.

You will collect samples, prepare reports for project managers, maintain equipment, follow safety standards, and may assist in scheduling technicians on larger projects. Valid driver's license required and experience with Word/Excel helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT/ACI certifications are preferred as listed.
• Internal safety certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection per training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission to PM.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and team as directed.
• May train lower level technicians or lead activities on larger projects.
• Maintains equipment and calibration; follows safety rules and pre-task planning.
• Ensures quality standards on all projects.
