Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. seeks a Senior Lead Construction Technician (Transportation Construction Inspector) to support District 11 projects for 2025, based out of Cranberry, PA. Responsibilities include field observations, testing, and ensuring compliance with contract documents for highway/bridge work.

Minimum 6+ years of highway or bridge construction/inspection experience required; HS diploma; ability to travel. Preference for NICET/NECEPT/OSHA certifications and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years highway or bridge construction/inspection experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic math for length, area and volume.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents.
• Prepare daily progress reports and payment claims.
• Lead field observations and testing of soils, asphalt, concrete.
• Review plans and specifications for field observations.
• Travel up to 100% during weekdays; occasional weekend travel.
