Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or B.S. in civil engineering or construction management required.
• Proven highway inspector/supervisor experience and knowledge of PennDOT specs.
• Ability to perform length, area and volume calculations.
• Experience documenting field work with digital tools (iPad) and apps.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of inspection staff and document daily on-site activities.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and codes.
• Communicate with contractors, engineers, job superintendents on plans, materials, methods and safety.
• Review progress reports, photos, discrepancies and corrective actions.
• Check shop drawings and quantities; review payment claims.
• Oversee erosion/stormwater controls and QA/QC practices.
• Attend site meetings and manage time effectively.
