Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Inspector to join the on-site transportation construction team. You will inspect roadway, bridges, drainage, erosion control, and maintenance activities at multiple project sites, ensuring conformance to plans, specifications and provisions.

The role requires reading and interpreting construction drawings, strong math skills, and the ability to communicate findings clearly in English. A valid driver’s license and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications such as ACI or NICET may be required by client/jurisdiction.
• Travel may be required (domestic/international).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to verify compliance with plans and specs.
• Use advanced inspection equipment and perform complex calculations.
• Review drawings and prepare for inspection.
• Document results and report to supervisor.
