Job summary

SAM, Surveying And Mapping, LLC, is a nationwide leader in geospatial and construction-phase solutions with 50+ offices and 1,600 professionals. The Construction Survey Crew Chief leads field geomatics operations using GPS, robotic total stations, scanners, and leveling equipment to support civil projects.

You will verify control, collect topographic and as-built data, perform Rapid Static sessions, and document field work with complete notes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience with surveying instruments and equipment.
• Certified Survey Technician (CST) preferred.
• Strong technical, measurement and calculations skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, verify, and operate GPS, Robotic Total Station, Scanning Total Station, and leveling equipment.
• Verify existing survey control and establish or re-establish control as needed.
• Collect basic topographic and as-built data.
• Perform Rapid Static sessions.
• Perform scans for sign confirmations and as-built documentation in areas with limited access.
• Layout of low-, intermediate-, and high-risk items per project requirements.
