Job summary

Terracon in Savannah, GA seeks a mid-level Geologist/Hydrogeologist to evaluate subsurface data, oversee field sampling, and contribute to project reports and client communications. You will collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists on site investigations, Phase I/II assessments, and remediation activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Geology or Hydrogeology and at least 5 years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Conduct site testing and provide recommendations for systems design on medium-sized projects.
• Collaborate with senior Geologists on larger projects.
• Perform site visits, field data collection and observations.
• Direct and supervise field staff to sample, test and document activities.
• Develop written proposals for clients and review others’ proposals for quality.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data and assemble written reports.
• May participate in client meetings or lead discussions on specific projects/tasks.
• Oversee work by lower-level Geologists/Hydrogeologists.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Geology / Hydrogeology or related field

Master’s degree preferred
