Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a General Foreman to provide day-to-day leadership to craft crews, oversee field execution, and ensure safe, efficient work aligned with refinery standards and Austin Industrial procedures.

The role requires leadership experience in industrial settings, strong communication skills, and the ability to read technical documents and drawings. Candidates should have refinery exposure and familiarity with safety policies and hazard analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in a refinery or petrochemical facility strongly preferred.
• Multi-craft or turnaround experience preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP, maintenance management systems, or scheduling tools.
• Strong understanding of refinery safety practices, work permits, and hazard recognition.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, schedules, and job plans.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise craft foremen and skilled crews during refinery operations, turnarounds, and maintenance.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and sequencing to meet schedule and scope.
• Enforce safety policies, permits-to-work, and lead daily safety meetings.
• Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with operations, planning, engineering, and contractor teams.
• Review blueprints, technical drawings, schedules, and specs.
• Maintain documentation: reports, time sheets, work orders, toolbox talks.
• Provide coaching and feedback to craft personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and refinery standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
