Job summary

Indigo is seeking an L2 Field Engineer to lead field deployment and maintenance of telecoms infrastructure across our customer base. The role emphasizes hands-on execution, fault diagnosis, and mentoring junior engineers to strengthen team capability.

You will coordinate field activities, ensure safety and quality standards, and provide escalation support to Projects Managers where needed. Strong leadership and technical expertise across optical, IP, and power systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in physically building telecoms infrastructure from plans to defined quality
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities for field engineers
• Experience with network commissioning, testing and fault finding across multiple technologies
• Ability to manage field installations with adherence to safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line maintenance, installation and commissioning support across Indigo’s customer base
• Respond to interventions and faults, owning resolution and meeting SLAs
• Lead designated projects as Lead Engineer and coordinate field activities
• Define and audit field installation quality standards and safety documentation
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and issues
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct hands-on coaching
